Changes to my study programme

Hi! I'm studying anthropology since the last year, this generation is studying with a new ''curriculum'' this means that every subject that we have is a new one, so it's sad but we are ''experiment subjects''. They are testing the development of this subjects on us. 
I think than this is the first thing that that I would change in the study programme, because it's very frustrating to see how some subjects doesn't make any sense, the contents sometimes are incomplete, etc. 
So I know that for our generation there is nothing to do, but the most of us are paying to recive a good education, so I hope this change someday. About the workload I think that sometimes we really don't have time to anything about from studying, we have to read very much to some subjects, and apart from that we have to do other stuffs besides studying, so many classmates are stressed. 
I think that the lenght of our career is ''kind of good'', I don't think that it's too long comparing it with others, even so I do think we spend many years studying leaving other important things behind. Talking about the faculty facilities, I think that our university do not  worry very much about the building of some careers, I mean for example the art faculty is very poor, in our faculty the bathrooms are in bad conditions, etc. Sadly I think the university pays more attention to those careers that are considered like ''the best paid''. But I do think that the new buildings in our campus are much better, with new places to study and new classrooms. I only hope that the university pays more attention to all the things that are wrong about our studies.

    I feel the same about that we really don´t have time to do anything, the university consume all the time. That so sad.

    Is frustrating to not know what are your next year classes beacause there are not completely finish by the new curriculum

Personal Opinions

Hi everyone today I'm going to talk about some topics and I will give a very short opinion about them... What is your opinion about the Chilean tradition called ‘mechoneo’? This tradition called 'mechoneo' is about a kind of ritual where everyone at university gives the 'welcome' to the new students, but I think that this tradition it's very wrong, because it gives the power to the old students to do what they want to the new students, like to throw them eggs, paint their clothes and even to cut their hair and making them do something that they don't want to do. I think that in this tradition we can see what power do to people, the feeling of doing what you want to someone just for fun became very dangerous.  What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases? I think that abortion must be free to every woman who needs to do one, we need to have control over our own bodies, maybe we can think that we have evolved in some areas of our society ...

Postgraduate Studies

Hello! I'm in the second year of anthropology, I'm not really sure yet about what major I'm going to take, if social anthropology or archaeology. But if I continue with social anthropology I would like to study some course about linguistic anthropology, or something like that related to the language that some societies have been using. I would like to continue with these studies because I find very interesting the way that societies express themselves through words, the way in different societies use different words to talk about the same thing.  I also would like to study the colloquial language, even in the same country people from the North use different words than the southern people. I would like to study this first in Chile, to understand first our own reality and maybe after that to travel to other countries to watch their ways to express and to see the contrasts, that in this sense  would it be many. My bucket list

Hi everyone! I don't really have a ''Bucket List'' I'm a very anxious person so when i want to do something i can't wait to do it. But there are some thing that i would like to do in the future that can be considered as my bucket list. First of all, i would like to travel outside Chile, I've never been out of the country. I would like to visit Peru, Mexico, Colombia and some places in Europe, i think those are the countries i would like to visit in some moment of my life. When i was a child i wanted to lear chinese, and i went to a class but it didn't go well, i would like to lear that language now. I think that is something difficult to achieve because it's a very difficult language and it requires a lot of dedication and study. I think something that i recently did from my ''bucket list'' was come to study to Santiago, I'm from La Serena and i didn't like it the universities from there, and something that i wanted to do ...
